Kalyx currently runs Harmondsworth Immigration Removal Centre near Heathrow Airport under contract to the UK Border Agency.
It is a closed facility which provides accommodation, healthcare, education and recreational activities for up to 259 detained men who are awaiting removal from the UK.
Our Detention Custody Officers fulfill a pivotal role in the provision of border protection for the UK Border Agency.
As key personnel, DCOs are directly responsible and accountable for providing a safe living environment for detainees within their respective living units, and for the overall dynamic security of the institution.
Our DCOs, through direct interactive supervision of detainees, provide the humane, decent and respectful treatment that is fundamental to the ethos that Kalyx engenders in both staff and detainees.
