HMP Addiewell
HMP Addiewell was opened in December 2008 and is a 700-place male prison for the Scottish Prison Service at Addiewell, near West Calder in West Lothian.
The design of HMP Addiewell is modern and compact; incorporates a number of innovative aspects; and has been constructed to a high standard of physical security.
Ms Audrey Park, Prison Director said: "We work closely with the Scottish Prison Service to deliver a full range of services which address offending behaviour. Our innovative solutions including new prisoner programmes and other forward-looking approaches towards prisoner management contribute to the reduction of reoffending."
